Sir Alimuddin Zumla is a British-Zambian professor of infectious diseases and international health at University College London Medical School.
He works on infectious and tropical diseases, clinical immunology and internal medicine, with particular attention to HIV/AIDS, respiratory infections including tuberculosis and Covid-19, pathogens with epidemic potential, and the diseases of poverty. He was knighted for services to public health and the prevention of infectious diseases.
